Today’s card is a combination of Sketch Saturday Challenge #753 and Just Add Ink Challenge #706. I did not get this card done in time for JAI#706 but adored the Challenge theme and really wanted to incorporate it into the Sketch Saturday Challege #753.

I picked up a few colors a Dina Wakely Acrylic paint last month but have not played with them, so today is the day. I pulled out the color Lapis and got busy making stripes on a tag I cut from mixed media paper. For the tag piece I diluted the paint with a bit of water. But for the background stripes I did not dilute it and it went on thick and dark.
I used stamps from the Varada Sharma Stamps sets Easy Layering Florals 1 and 2, they are available at Rubberstamps.com. The cards base floral images are stamped using Prize Ribbon Distress Archival Ink. My bow is a little messy and that is ok, it was made using package discards from a bag of wheat berries!
If you head over to Instagram you can see how this card came together in a short that I created.

Sketch Saturday Challege #753 is still going on, so create a card and uploaded to the challenge blog!
