Luck and Love

I am so excited to share my first card as a guest designer with Polkadoodles Crafts! I am so grateful Polkadoodles Crafts has taken a chance on me. For my card today, the prompt was Flowers and a Shape card for the Digi Choosday challenge blog. Be sure to take advantage of the Huge Digi Choosday Discount you can find the code HERE!

I decided to use the ever so sweet Honeypie Sweet Flower Bouquet Stamp for my focal point, here bouquet draws so much attention to the card. As for the shape of my card, I created a triangle card, to accomplish this I cut a piece of white paper down to 6″ x 6″. I marked the top of the paper at 3″ and then angled the paper in my trimmer to chop the side to the angle shape. I move the piece over and repeated the same process. I did do this twice and scored 1 triangle about 1″ down from the point to give a card fold bend, then simply glued the pieces together. I used a marker to color the edge of the paper so that I would have a colored border for my card. Sometimes that is the best way to match the colors you are using on your project.

I printed out the floral piece of digital paper from Just Lovely Honeypie coordinating papers and trimmed it the same way, but then went back and trimmed off almost 1/4″ from each side. Then glued my background to my card base.

I used Ohuhu markers to color a small rectangle background with sky and grass to give my focal image a small scene. Colors used are listed below. I fussy cut her and then popped her up on foam take to give her some height. The sentiment was also put on foam tape.
