Summer Treats a plenty

Today’s card was created for the #summersoireecardmakinghop2024 over on Instagram. The them is Summer treats. I took inspiration from the Hop graphic and went with a Watermelon theme.

The stamp set used is Summer Snacks -Create with Joy and can be purchased at Rubberstamps.com I stamped the ants and small watermelons with Simon Says black ink that is maker safe, to create my own pattern paper. I used a different shade of green and red Ohuhu alcohol makers to color in this quick background.

Ohuhu Marker Colors:

Watermelon: R180, R230, R3, GY3, GY2, G170

Elephant: WG4, WG3, WG090, WG070, Shadow, CG020

I used a base layer of Gingham paper from Crafty Stamp Co., it is from the paper pack Ma Heifers, there are some really cute papers in the pack. Mine is a digital paper because I participated in a Barnraiser fundraiser they did a few months using digital stamps. But they have since released the sets in a physical product.

Overall this is a simple card, which is exactly what I needed, it is a seriously busy week. We have been doing end of summer activities and lots of them. It is so easy to stamp a few images on piece of paper and color them to make a color matching background. Have you ever made your own pattern paper? Leave me a comment and let me know.
