Fall Yarn Card

This was a fun card to make and a pretty simple one at that. This card was made for the fall friends Instagram hop hosted by @createwithcas. The theme is Sweater weather!

Yarn Love Simon Says Stamp

I decided to make my card using the Yarn Love stamp set from Simon’s Says Stamp to showcase how so many sweaters are made. Yeah, doing something different lol, I haven’t really got to use this set because it has been packed away for the last 15 months. The images are colored with Copic Marker, I used two color blends to do simple coloring for a light dark affect.

Copic Maker Colors Used:

Yellows: Y15, Y18

Browns: E31, E35

Reds: E04, E09

Grays: C3, C5

To give the card that relaxing fall vibe I created a stencil background of falling leaves inked with Distress Oxides in the same pattern as the knitted project on the front of the card. The stencil is called Autumn Breeze and is from @craftystampco

Ink Color used for the background: Gathered Twing, Aged Mahogany, Wild Honey, and for additional splatter Ground Espresso and Copic Opaque White.

I added a stitched rectangle die cut from Pink and Main on foam tape to this panel to give my yarn and knitted project a base to sit on. I thought the heat embossed sentiment and splatter were the perfect finishes.

The card is a standard A2 size card for easy mailing.

If you enjoyed this card, leave me some love in the comments and let me know!
