Raise your hand if you are ready for winter. I know I am, but no such luck where I am it was 84 today. If I am being honest, I am kind of mad about it. At least my cards can start looking like a winter wonderland. I created this card for an Instagram Hop hosted by @stamprgrl. This week’s theme is Leaves or Snowflakes, I am ready to make winter cards so Snowflakes for me!

The background was created using Distress Inks, Salty Ocean, Stormy Sky and Dusty Concord. I started with a medium blue piece of cardstock so that I would end up with that pretty halo in the middle of the card. For the snowflakes I used the Let it Snow stencil from Crafty Stamp Co. TIP: Before you do the stencil portion of this make sure your paper is fully dry from all the ink put on it while blending. Then hit it with copious amounts of anti-static powder. If you don’t you, may it up with silver embossing powder in all the wrong places. I used VersaMark and a blending brush on the snowflake stencil the hit with silver embossing powder from WOW!
The oh so adorable Yeti for the stamp set Yeti for Winter that you can get at Crafty Stamp Co is colored with Copic makers and has some white gel pen highlights and glitter pen areas.
Copic Marker Colors used:
Yeti: BV01, B63, C0, C3, r22
Yeti Hat: R24, RR27, R29, C7, C5. C3. C0
Mug and Whip Cream: R27, R24, B14, B28, B29, C0, C3, C5
Word Lettering: B14, B29
I used the Pink and Main stitched rectangles to cut out the background layer and that added a Silver Glitter paper layer on a white card base. I also layered the sentiment with the glitter paper. While this paper is gorgeous, it is really old and is the kind of paper where all the glitter falls off. I do not recommend it.

Head over to Instagram and check out the rest of the Hop. The crafty inspiration is phenomenal!
