Pretty in Pink

I made this card a few days ago for the Cards for all Seasons Card hop over on Instagram, can you guess the theme?

I combined a double pink layer with a die cut stretched rectangle. On the stitched rectangle I used the Marshmallow stencil to create a soft background for the adorable Penguin from the Christmas Cocoa Cups set from Crafty Stamp Co to sit on. The colors used for the background are Picked Raspberry and Spun sugar in Distress Oxide Inks.

As I was making the card I felt that the penguin needed to sit on yet another layer lol, so I added a scalloped vellum circle!

For the sentiment I heat embossed it on the pick to match the background, but I did it in Ebony black WOW! embossing powder. In hindsight I should have heat embossed it in white. I fussy cut the sentiment and added foam tape behind it to give it a bit of lift.

The card was finished with sparkle pink enamel dots from Your Next Stamp, I will be very sad when I run out as the store is no longer open.

Note: I like Hammermill 100 for coloring with Ohuhu markers. I have a few more papers to try but so far this one is a winner for me.
