I created this cute scene birthday card to Hop along with my friends over on Instagram. The Fun on the Farm Hop hosted by @sarae.furr_thecraftyfarmchick,
The sun, the piggy, and the chicken are from a digital stamp set called Stephen’s Banyard Buddies. I have the digital version because I participated in a virtual event with Crafty Stamp Co. They do offer a physical stamp set now and you can find it HERE. I colored all the images with Copic markers.
On the shiny ballons I added Glossy Accents. I do not recommend being impatient just let it air dry. I you think you are slick and use a heat gun, you will fail and end up with bubbles. I needed to make dinner, so I tried to rush.
I shopped up 3 colors of cardstock for the hay using my Tonic Studios Tim Holtz Mini Guillotine and added shading with Copic Markers.
The sentiment was an inspiration that happened mid-way through when I thought oh, I should add hay to the card. I typed it up found a font I liked and printed it out.
I used two stencils for the background a Lawn Fawn Cloud Stencil and the “stone wall” style stencil from Mini Stencil set from Tim Holtz #28. It involved some masking and moving the stencil to fit across the front. Sky color is Distress Oxide Salty Ocean. The wall uses Distress Oxide Pumice Stone, Lost Shadow and Hickory Smoke.
