Wonder Dog

Megan from the Design Team here, with a Wonder Dog Gracie card! I paired Gracie with Comic Book Backgrounds 6 x 6 pattern paper and some fun layers.

I colored Gracie with Copic markers and cut her out using my Scan N Cut, I also added a back border behind her so she would stand out on the colorful pattern paper. Copic Colors used to color Gracie: E13, E17, E25, E27 for the cape Y15, Y 18, YR21, Y35, and Y38 and for the color B14, B18, and B29.

I cut an A2 card base in red, then layered it with a piece of corrugated black cardstock that I splattered with red shimmer spray. I cut a piece of dark yellow cardstock with two rectangle dies layered to create a frame. I adhered the layers to each other with liquid glue.

I have been trying to look at my dies in my stash with different eyes lately. So, I pulled out an oldie and cut 3 pieces of the Comic Book Backgrounds pattern paper with two different sizes of the dies. Then I layered pieces offset on the card front, making sure you could see the black background behind them on the top and bottom of the die cut.

The sentiment is layered with pieces of colored card stock that I used in the background. Foam tape was added to the sentiment and to Gracie so they would stand out on the front of the card.

I finished the card by adding a few black dots just to give the card a bit more interest. I hope this card inspires you to be bold with color!
