Hello crafty people! Megan here with another design team contribution. Today’s card features Ink Splats 2 Stencil, Birthday Brights Pattern paper and one of the sweet little Hares from Hare in Your Cake!

I have pulled my stencils out and put them on my desk to remind me to use them. For this card I started by stamping the hare onto a stitched rectangle die cut, the I cut a mask to put over the hare. I picked out the Ink Splats 2 stencil to create a blended focal area around the hare. I used Tumbled Glass, Picked Raspberry and Mustard seed for the blended area. I add gold and white splatters to the stitched rectangle, because splatters are a must of course.

Once the ink blending and splatters were dry, I removed the mask and colored the images with Copic markers. I did stamp two of the confetti pieces to add a bit more interest to the ink blended area.
To create the layers for the A2 card base, I cut a black border paper for the candle paper and the stitched rectangle. I also cut a strip of the yellow paper from the Birthday Brights paper pack and inked up the edges of it with Spiced Marmalade Distress ink to help it stand out on the candle paper.

I used liquid glue to adhere the layers, but did pop up the hare image and heat embossed sentiment strip on low profile foam tape. To finish this fun birthday card, I added some pink Doodlebug Sprinkles.
I hope this card inspires you to mix bright and dark colors!
