Hey all, Megan with the design team here with a Positive Tate’s Halloween Scare card! I just adore these cute potatoes. I paired them with the Yikes & Frights stencil and Elegantly Eerie pattern paper.

To create this card I started with an A2 sized black card base. I cut a piece of Elegantly Eerie pattern paper an 1/8th inch shorter than an A2 sized card base to create my first layer. To that I added another layer of black cardstock and a piece of gray cardstock. For each of these layers I corner chomped the right side of eacher layer.

Before adhering these layers, I used Versamark to add a glue layer through the Yikes & Frights stencil on the gray layer. I then added glow in the dark heat embossing powder and my heat tool to set it. I don’t think I shook the embossing powder enough because I didn’t a very good glow in the dark effect. But that is ok, it is a nice clear stenciled detail in the background. Just enough not to take away from the potatoes. Once that was done, I adhered the two layers of cardstock and added foam tape to the back of the black cardstock to give the card a bi of dimension.

I also added two layers of pattern paper behind the sentiment, now this sentiment is stamped as one piece, but I cut it into two pieces to layer on the card at top and bottom, I added foam tape behind the sentiment layers as well. To finish this card, I die cut the word EEK from dies in my out of patter paper and gave them a double layer of black letters to give the lift on the card. I also added some black enamel dots to bring everything together.
I hope this simple card inspires you to stack those layers and add a few adorable Crafty Stamp Co images to them. Happy crafting friends.
