Hey crafty people, Megan with the design team here. Today I am sharing a cute Christmas stocking with you. This project features the Whispers of Winter 6 X 6 Pattern Paper along with the Here Comes Santa stamp set for the sentiment.

This super cute stocking serves two purposes; you can give it out with a little treat and when the treat is gone it can be used as an ornament.

When I first saw the Wisper of Winter pattern paper, I knew I was going to make gift boxes out of it. The papers are so soft and serene I love the colors in the paper; the pop of red brings it all together. And the best thing snow drops remind me of splatter, so it is all done and ready to go! I just love a splatter look.

I used an SVG cut file to create the stocking shape and cuff, this is something that could be done by hand or with a stocking die if you have one in your stash. But I don’t so I used a cut file for my Silhouette. Once all the pieces were cut out, I used Iced Spruced Distress Oxide ink to ink the edges of the pattern paper. Then I inked up the cuff with Walnut Stain Distress ink to give it a bit more pop.

I dug way into the back of my stash and found some dies in my stash to cut the berries and leaves. I used the solid colors from the Whispers of Winter pattern paper pack. Then I used a glue pen to add a bit of glitter. Anything Christmas related should have sparkle!

I used the Season’s Greeting sentiment from the Here Comes Santa stamp set. I added a layer of red paper behind my sentiment, this isn’t necessary, but I love a layered sentiment!

To make this stocking multi-purpose I added a white ribbon to make it a hanging ornament. I do hope this project inspires you to use your pattern paper. I know I love too. Happy Holiday crafting friends.
