Brushed Blooms Birthday!
The Winner Was #3 Last week I posted on my social media, Pick a Paper. Well I finished the birthday card and am just now getting to the post. Number 3 paper had the most picks between my social media and random texting of my oh so supportive friends. And I sure to love how the card turned out!
Number 3 Paper was from the Jan-June 2021 Mini Catalog. It is called Love You Always 12 x 12 Specialty DSP.
Blending Brushes for a softer look – I used White Stampin Heat Emboss powder on Crumb Cake cardstock to make the pretty flowers. And added a piece of Basic White as my first layer. When I was working on the card I felt the white of the first layer was a bit to bright. So I used a blending brush to add a smidge of Crumb Cake ink to lay the rest of the layers on. It make a huge difference. It made the card feel calmer. I added a couple Gold Glitter Enamel dots to finish the card.
I received the seal of approval from my 3 year old. She likes to put her hands under her chin and say “AWW that is so pretty, I love it”! So I know it worked. This girl will tell me when she does not like a card even when I love it!
I really like he heat embossed flowers. So much so that I headed off to check Pinterest for some more ideas and color schemes! Then I found a sample set, so elegant I said OUT LOUD ” WOW those are beautiful”. My husband looked up from his game for a minute to see what I was talking about, that is how excited I was. So thank you Gail Ellis for sharing your beautiful work with us.
