I was sitting at my desk getting ready to work on my next card and kept looking over at the hearts from yesterday’s Peek-A-Boo Sweet Ice Cream Card. All I could think about was layering the two hearts. And then I did, I stopped thinking about the project I was supposed to be working on and made this fun scrap card instead. This is a normal occurrence around here.
This card is just fun and playful and while it is not perfect. I adore how it turned out. I added a black stitched line around the outside of the hearts using my Black Stampin’ Write marker. It is not perfect and I still have a to work on that added detail, practice makes perfect (or at least better than the last time) for me! I used my larger bristled Water Painter to add a layer of Mint Macaron to the Basic White layer.
I added a white heat embossed sentiment from the Through it Together stamp set. It just felt like the right sentiment for this fun card.
I love my Water Painters, I use to add subtle detail to my projects, like splatter, or give flowers a water color look or just a splash of color behind a design. SO many of you are way more artistic then me and I have seen some amazing projects done using the Water Painters. I keep it simple as that is what is in my wheel house, but I feel like EVERYONE should have a set in their stash.
I hope you enjoyed this scrap heart card, I did! If you don’t have a demonstrator I would love to fill the position!
