My entry for the Global Design Project theme challenge GDP 303. I love how simple this card turned out. Just enough color to make you smile. And the best part, no sentiment on the front. You could make a bunch and stamp the sentiment on the inside when you know what you want to use it for (of course that is if you are like me, and make cards just to make cards).

To make this card, I used the largest stitched rectangle die to cut out the layer of Handed Penned Designer series paper. Then added a layer of vellum. I used the large flower from the Shaded Summer Stamp Set! For my embellishments I used my Stampin Seal to adhere the Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon in a “messy” look behind my flora die cut. Then I added two of the Mint Macaron Genial Gems.

I used my Stampin’ Blends to color my floral image with Pale Papaya then colored over the Pale Papaya with Polished Pink! My leaves are a combo of Mossy Meadow and Granny Apple Then I traced the entire image with my wink of Stella to make it shimmer. Wink is of Stella is hard to photo, use your imagination and pretend it is all shimmery. I did not add a sentiment to the front, I did not want to cover up the pretty focal point. .

I used the Summer Shadow dies to die cut the floral image! You can only get these dies for a limited time and ONLY while supplies last. They are part of the Sale-A-Bration items RIGHT NOW, free with purchase of $100.00 in Stampin’ Up! product. If you have the stamp set Shaded Summer, you will WANT these dies.
