Little Delights Light Garland

I decided to work on a project using the Little Delights stamp set and the Playful Alphabet dies! One of the main reasons I bought the stamp set was to use the Christmas light that is in the set. So for today’s paper crafting fun, I made Merry Christmas Garlands!

I will not even being to claim that this is a quick project, it is not! This could have been because I was making multiple colors. If you are doing just one, it won’t take all day like mine did. It sure was fun to do paper crafting project that was not a card.

I have a dear friend who goes back into the office starting in December and I could not think of a better way to cheer up her desk! She just adores Christmas decorations.

I am lucky enough to own a Brother Scan and Cut, without it this project would not have happened. I have tendinous in my arm and I NEVER would have been able to fussy cut all of the lights! The garland itself is pretty straight forward. Stamp out your desired colored lights and cut. I glued two of the same colored lights together, I only glued the lower half of the lights first then I “strung” it on the Baker’s Twine and glued the top half to ensure it would stay put on the garland.

I repeated the same gluing process for my die cut letters! Can you just image all of the color combos and details you could add to the garland. You could add little stars from the Stars are Shining bundle. I did add trees from the Cloche Dies set. Really the possibilities are endless, my goal was to keep my garland simple. I almost failed when I started thinking about all the other things to add!

TIP: Use washi tape to hold down your twine while you adhere the lights and letters. I taped down both sides of the Baker’s Twine to keep in in place.

Below you will find the product list that details almost all the product that I used. The two glitter style papers I used for lettering are retired. One is the Be Dazzling paper that we just had in this last round of Sale-A-Bration. The other is the Sparkle Glimmer paper, but there are so many options in the current catalog that you could use. Including patterned paper, I thought that might be cute. I currently have a stack of retired paper I am WORKING my way through that is how I ended up with the Sparkle Glimmer paper!
