Today’s card is a background that started in a let’s try it out secession. I purchased Distress Archival Ink minis because they can work with many different mediums. One thing I read was Specialty stamping paper is preferred for these inks when stamping. I made sure to pick up a pack to try out.

I really wanted to try with these inks was making an alcohol ink background. I have zero tools at my disposal for this process right now, so I used what I had. Isopropopal Alcohol 99%, a hair dryer on the cool setting and gravity. I used the ink pads to do an ink swipe on the edge of the paper then added a lot of ISO to get the ink to move around the paper. I really like the finished background.
Ink colors used for the background I used Rustic Wilderness, Ground Expresso and Prize Ribbon.
The Gnome is from Gnomie Cuppie at Copictopia Creative. I used this set earlier this week for another birthday card. This Gnome is stamped on Bristol Smooth paper and colored with ZIG watercolor makers. There are a few links below for some of the items I used. I have to try the Zig markers on a few other types of paper still, but so far, I like the movement I get on Bristol Smooth. I am going to go back and try them on the Specialty paper since I already have it.
