Hello crafty people, Megan with the design team here to share a fun Potato Box card! This card features Positive Tate’s Halloween Scare stamp set. I mixed it up with pumpkins from Fall Hedgies, the paper pack is a mix of papers from the Elegantly Eerie 6 x 6 paper pack. There is also a hint of The Web stencil detail as well.
I started by picking out the potatoes I wanted for the scene, I decided on the trick or treater for my spooky house, the cute boo pumpkin for my “graveyard” and the mummy tato for Happy Tato-Ween wishes. I used Copic markers to color in these adorable images.

I knew I would need a few scene fillers, so I colored the other images that are included with the Positive Tate’s Halloween Scare stamp set to have on hand when putting the card together.
I used my ScanNCut to cut the box design and additional supporting elements for the scene, including the spooky house, trees, and gravestones. For these elements I used distress oxide inks to color each element.
Gravestones: Black Soot, Wilted Violet and Chipped Sapphire (each stone was colored with a different combo)
Spooky House: Pumice Stone, Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot and Squeezed Lemonade.
Background Trees: Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, Ground Espresso
Sky Scene: Wilted Violet, Black Soot, Broken China and Chipped Sapphire

You will notice I repeat my colors; it gives the design a cohesive look. To give the spooky house and sky scene more interest, I added splatters of clean clearwater and white ink. I also wanted to have a spider web detail on the spooky house, because what says Halloween like a spider web? I used Pumice Stone and The Web Stencil to give this detail. It finished the house as I envisioned it.
I added square panels to the 3 flaps using the Elegantly Eerie pattern paper. Once the main portion of the box card was assembled and I started adding all the elements. I quickly realized this card needed a few pumpkins. I stamped out 3 pumpkins from the Fall Hedgies stamp set and colored them with Copic markers; I made each of them a different color combo.
I gave the sentiment two layers of pattern paper and a piece of foam tape so it would stand in front of the mummy and the pumpkin. Overall, I love how this card came together; it ended up being a spooky cute Halloween scene!

I hope this card inspires you to create a fun scene on your next project!
