Hey crafty friends, today I have fun piece of room decor to share with you! The cut file for this project came from White Spruce Digital Downloads.

I was not sure how to execute this project; I had an idea and a wood blank from Hobby Lobby! I knew I wanted to use Archival inks to create a Sunset background. That was about it.
I put coat of white gesso on the wood blank in hopes that the inks would show truer to their original colors. And it worked! I used Ground Espresso, Peeled Paint, Rustic Wilderness, Crushed Olive, Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry, Kitsch Flamingo, Dusty Concord, Villainous Potion, and Black Soot to create the layers for the sunset. I had to use a mixture of finger daubers and blending brushes to get the look I was going for. In the future I would sand the wood blank before adding the gesso. The texture of the wood blank shredded the finger daubers.
I cut the file out on my silhouette Cameo 4, the lines all cut clean and it was simple to adhere to the wood blank with Scotch Glue. It worked out just fine. I love how the wording is perfectly spaced on this file.
I added a bit of stardust stickles to the star, moon and tree to jazz them up a bit. I also added a bit of white splatter to the top of the sunset line to mimic twinkle stars in the night skyline.
I do hope this project encourages you to step out of your comfort zone and try something you have not done before. You may just love how it turns out. I know I did!
