Happy Floating Balloons

Welcome to a very special day of the week! This is the day I will use retired Designer Series Paper (DSP) to highlight a current stamp set. I have a problem when it comes to DSP, I can never decide on just a few designs. I adore them all so much! I am looking to clear my paper stash and hopefully inspire you to get out your DSP and combine with new stamp set or two!
I have a few demonstrators out there that I love to watch create, one of those is Ronda Wade. I saw her make a gift box out of a piece of 12″ x 12″ DSP cut down to 9 1/2″ x 12″ and instantly fell for it, so simple and quick. The stirp cut off of the 12″ x 12″ DSP was used on the inside of today’s card, but you could use it to make a Matching card front! I had scraps of the DSP from a past project so I used that to make the front of todays card.
It only seemed fitting to use the Ridiculously Awesome Stamp Set inspired by Million Sales Achiever Ronda Wade since I used her box design in todays project.
Here is the the best part of this card the INSIDE! I added floating balloons using window sheet strips cut to a size I felt looked good.

I punched the balloons out using the balloon bouquet punch and stamped stars from the Family Party Stamp in the colors Pool Party and So Saffron. As I was working on this card I discovered I do not have Daffodil Delight ink (it has been added to the order list!) The I used a sponge to add a little color around the edges of the balloons to cut down on the “harsh” white edge. I pulled out Terracotta Title cardstock and die cut the word HAPPY using the Playful Alphabet dies. The pulled out my handy dandy all purpose glue and got to work! My daughter enjoys when I pull out the Alphabet dies, she is 3 and very into learning her letters right now.
YOU can find a list of the products I used below. Have questions don’t hesitate to ask! I love talking about paper crafting and all things paper crafting related.
