Misty Moonlight Birthday

When I start a card I never know where the stamp set is going to take me. I pick a color; a stamp set and get to work. I was pleased with color pairing of Misty Moonlight and Seaside Spray on this card.

First, I cut a standard A2 card base out of Misty Moonlight to open in the up direction. Then I cut a layer of Seaside Spray and Whisper White 1/4″ smaller than the last layer.

The Stamparatus

I used my Stamparatus to stamp the Beautiful Friendship flower. I stamped the image once and then flipped the paper 180 degrees lined up my image and stamped again. When I stamped it the second time the image did not come out great.

This is where the Stamparatus comes in super handy! You just re-ink the stamp and stamp over the image. I was happy how the image came out after re-inking. I used by clear block to stamp the Old Olive leaves.

For final touches I heat emossed the sentiment using Silver emboss powder on a stitched rectangle die cut. Then added a piece of Misty Moonlight ribbon behind it. And here is the part that makes me really happy, I used my Water Painter to splatter Seaside Spray on the corners of the Whisper White layer! Then I thought this card needed a touch of sparkle! I used my Wink of Stella to flick a touch of sparkle on the corners over the Seaside Spary.
