Bright and Happy – I was cleaning up my craft cabinet after a recent move and discovered an abundance of Grapefruit Grove cardstock. I decided a layer of Granny Apple cardstock was going to make a bright and happy card.
The Beautiful Friendship set for this card would be perfect to pair with my chosen colors and would come together so easily with coordinating paper and ink. The large Hydrangea was perfectly stamped in all four corners of the Whisper White CS layer, I made sure to leave the center open.
My trusty Stamparatus came in handy to line up the large flower. I inked up my stamp with Misty Moonlight and stamped the large flower exactly where I wanted it. After that, I stamped my Granny Apple Leaves around the GORGEOUS Misty Moonlight flower.
I used my Paper Snips to shred up the edge of the Granny Apple CS layer! Doing this give the CS a “vintage” edge.

Needs Something more –After setting the layers on top of each other and admiring my color choices. I decided the card needed a layer of something slightly darker to break up the brightness I was enjoying. This is where the layer of Misty Moonlight CS came in. To even out my layers a bit, I used a Stitched Rectangle die to cut around my stamped images.

I added a black heat embossed Birthday Sentiment and the Misty Moonlight enamel dots! I am going to use tons of these enamel dots when I start my fall cards, they give any card that finished look. I glued my layers down to the card base. I do not know who his card is going out to yet, but whoever it is I hope they feel brightness and have a FANTASTIC birthday.
