Pretty Peacock and Forever Fern great way to start off this week’s blog posts. I created 2 cards using a combination Pretty Peacock and Pool Party. I will be sad to see this shade retire in May, it’s my favorite of the retiring colors followed by Purple Posy.
I used the SUBTLE 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER to really add detail to the first layer of the card. There is a splatter stamp in the Forever Fern set that I used to first add Pretty Peacock ink to the layer then I used it to add the Heat and Stick powder so I could add some of the super fun to play with Gilded Leafing Embellishment.
As I was playing with the Gilded Leafing embellishment, I had two thoughts 1. don’t sneeze and 2. I want to see the inside of the building that manufacturers this stuff. Seriously what would it look like in there if they turned on the air conditioner for five minutes?!?!
The gold accents on this card really make it feel elegant. I almost did not add the Gold Glitter dots to this card, but really glad I did in the end.
For my second card, which I actually made first. I did not use the textures folder and slightly wished I had, but I still think the card turned out special . The only thing I am still not 100 % sure on is leaving the right corner hanging over. As you can see I cut off the other three corners so feel inclined to chop it off to. I may change my mind when I get ready to send it out. Only time will tell.
I just can’t help here is a closer look. I really love how these cards turned out!
Below you will find the products used list. Be sure to leave a comment and let me know if you think I should have cut off the corner on the Second card. I am still tempted to cut that off!Product List
