Awesome Coffee Card
So! I decided I need to start really working on card sketch challenges, color challenges…eek even a Blog Hop! This is me stepping out of my comfort zone. Here I go, the first sketch challenge I am doing is the Global Design Project (GDP) sketch challenge. A fellow team member of mine, Su Mohr at Aromas and Art is on the Design team for GDP and I thought it would be fun to participate.
It took me a few days to settle on theme. Then my sister dumped my coffee beans on the floor in the middle of the night and as I was picking them up, all I could see in my head was a Shaker Card. Immediately decided it will be the Nothing’s Better Than set is the ONE!
This card is 4″x4″ and uses Very Vanilla and Early Expresso for the main colors with splashes of Gold and Rich Razzleberry. I tried tried making this card on Basic White and well it just did not feel right. After a few hours of wandering around the house it finally it me Very Vanilla. I mean it really goes well with the split coffee beans I added to make it a shaker card.
Here is the Sketch Challenge this week #GDP286
How do you think I did? I feel like I did pretty good and if not at least it was fun to make! You just never know when inspiration will strike.
Below is a product used list for this card along with a card cut list.
