Purple Posy Happy

This card was fun to make. I pulled out my Basic Patterns Decorative Mask and Sponge Brayer I have not used in some time, I guess I was feeling nostalgic. I even used Early Espresso card stock, which until recently I have never used on my cards.

I used my Sponge Brayers to give the Basic White card stock an Ombre effect with Rich Razzelberry ink. Then I used the mask, blends and a combo of Rich Razzelberry, Flirty Flamingo and Blackberry Bliss to add a layer of color on time. My sentiment ended up coving most of the Flirty Flamingo, but it really paired well well in the color trio. I added all of this along with the Purple Posy Striped ribbon and a few retired purple posy dots on a…you guessed it a Purple Posy card base. It almost sounds like to much but I feel it was just right!

Oh and don’t forget I did a bit of splatter on my card base with Early Espresso and on my top sentiment layer. I just can not seem to get enough of the splatter lately. I guarantee it will show up on more card! Creating backgrounds is one of my all time favorite card techniques, it relaxes.

I was walking around in garden after I made this card and found my Wisteria in full bloom mode. It made me think of this card. Don’t forget if you love Purple Posy or the Sponge Brayers, they are retiring May 3, 2021. Stock up while you can!
