Sneak Peek! Real Red and Garden Green Christmas

My card for today just screams Christmas to me! I enjoy a good woodsy scene on Christmas (preferably little to no snow). This card puts me in the spirit. I am honestly surprised I have not started listing to Christmas carols while working on these projects!

For this card, I used the Christmas Seasons Bundle! It is a great value at $54.00, the dies that you get with this set are amazing. I kept this card on the simpler side. This bundle will be available 8/3/21 in the Mini Catalog and the DSP is in the Sale A Bration catalog! You can earn it free with a $50.00 purchase!

I stamped my berry branch in Soft Suede, the berries are real read and then I added some Garden Green Foilage using the stamp off technique to keep it a bit lighter. I am loving the shading look I am getting from this Photopolymer stamp set.

For the sentiment I die cut a piece of Garden Green DSP and used the little rectangle detail dies to create the added detail for the ribbon to weave through. Now I love a good bow! But sometimes a good bow takes a very long time and in the case of this card, it did! I just could not get the bow to look right, I took TWO breaks. end the end it all worked out. The Real Red ribbon and Crumb Cake bow adds a cute touch. I added 3 of the Real Red Wonderful Gems to finish the project.

  1. Hi, I probably am not reading the instructions correctly…but why cut a piece of the DSP Peaceful Prints if it is going to be covered up by the piece that you stamped on? What am I not understanding. I would love to make this my Christmas card. I live in Texas and have a demonstrator….but would really appreciate your help. Thank you Sylvia Alvarado

  2. Hello, thank you for the question! The Peaceful Prints is the first layer on the card so it creates a border on the left and right side of the stamped piece of Crumb Cake. You could just cut 1 inch strips to add to the left and right side of the Stamped piece of Crumb Cake. I had this piece cut from another project so I used it as it was instead of cutting it down. Let me know if this helps, I can always do a quick video and post it to Instagram or Facebook!

    Thanks,

    Megan
