Here I go again, playing along with this week’s Global Design Project color challenge #GDP301! The colors made me smile, but it took me a minute to decide what to do. I had a few ideas but when I started working on the card, I decided on this classic and simple super cute card!
I created my own “DSP” using the stamp set Sweets & Treats that will be available 8/3/21 for the large heart and super fun cupcake. My little heart came out of the Penguin Place stamp. I used my Night of Navy Polished Pink and Light Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends to color in the images and finished the look with Coastal Cabana tiny Hearts! It is hard to see but there is a touch of Wink of Stella on the cupcake frosting.
My sentiment is White heat embossed on a piece of Coastal Cabana and Polished Pink die cuts. I used the Seasonal Lables Die (available 8/3/21) and the Stitched So Sweetly Dies, followed by a fun ribbon detail. The ribbon I used is White Glittered Organdy Ribbon(available 8/3/21) folded over and adhered with my Stampin’ Seal to ensure the folds stay in place. I added a few-dimensional to pop up my sentiment layer.
This card really is just so simple but offers a classic fun look! I am really starting to get the hang of my blends, which means my collection will probably grow in the near future! Oh, and I need to add Night of Navy card stock to the next order, can you believe I only have 2 sheets left on the shelf! I can’t go full-blown Christmas without Night of Navy Cardstock, I don’t know how I missed that when I was doing the last order. This is my reminder to double-check everything before the next order.
