Today I challenged myself to use a tag on my card front, I have always struggled with this. And as we all know challenges help us grow!

For this card, I used a few different Stampin’ Up! products. I started with die cutting the larges tag from the Tailor Made dies. I used the Summer Shadows Dies to die cut the flower in Coastal Cabana and leaf in Basic Black. I love the Shadow Summer dies. They are a Sale-a-bration item that can be earned with a $100.00 purchase, but only until September 30, 2021!

I cut two strips of Pattern Party DSP to edge the left and right side of the Basic White layer. I like to add little pops of DSP to my card in different areas, it is a great way to use up scraps. I then used my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Maker to add a bit of splatter to my card layer. I did this by flicking the brush end of my maker in the cap outword toward the paper, the size and darkness of the splatter you are going for will determine the pressure you use when pressing the brush end in the cap.

The tag was inked with Highland Heather, I swiped the tag with the edge of the ink pad down the length of the die cut. I did have to turn the tag around to cover the top edge with ink. I love the look that it gives, and you can always add another layer to make it darker if you want. The tag dies come with a little circle to cut out a cover for the tag hole. I used the Coastal Cabana and then added Whisper White Chrikeld Seamed Binding Ribbon to the tag hole. Let me just say I am in love with this ribbon right now, I have been adding it to many of my projects!
From there I added my other dies cuts with multipurpose glue. Then Heat emobsed my sentiment on a strip of Basic white . The sentiment came from the Handsomely Suited Stamp set. I used my paper snips to cut up the sentiment and adhered it with my tombow. I added 3 black sequence in different sizes to finish off this card. Overall I would say I met my challenge of using a tag on a card front!
