A simple Christmas Tree

Playing along with this week’s The Paper Players sketch challenge PP555! It is a simple layout that can offer a lot of bang!

I created a simple card for this challenge and adore how it turned out. I am always looking for a way to create a mix of traditional and non-traditional cards.

My focal image is from the Whimsical Trees Stamp set, I heat embossed one of the larger trees on a piece of Basic Black card stock. My Merry sentiment came from the Christmas to Remember stamps set. I white heat embossed it on a piece of Garden Green cardstock.

For my card base and layers I used Basic Black card stock, Vellum and the Sale-a-bration DSP Peaceful Prints, I love this paper so much I ordered 2 pack of it and guess what, they were both free with purchase! Check out some of the great designs in the paper. And to a bit of fun and finish I added a pop of Rea Read Double Stitched Satin Ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed these cards. Be sure to leave a comment and tell me if you like the Baker’s Twine Essential Pack. And if you don’t already have a demonstrator, I would love to fill the position, just click here to get in touch with me.

Update: 08/29/2021 This card was chosen as Headliner of the Week! It was a great sketch and I was happy to play along.

  1. A very striking card, Megan! The white embossed tree just jumps right off the black card stock. I LOVE the “pop” of red. Thank you for sharing at The Paper Players this week!
