It has taken me all week to get here! But here I am, this is my entry for this week’s Global Design Project CASE challenge! Originally I was going to use Timeless Tropical, but then a beautiful entry by Rose Coleman a fellow SU Demonstrator was summited. So back to the drawing board I went, as the saying goes.
Without further delay, here is my Case of Wilma De Korte’s card! I used the Party Puffins and Biggest Wish stamp sets. Overall this card is very simple and fun. Let me share a quick bit about what happens when I try to do a “simple” card. I went through a sheet and half of card stock trying to the right “look” (insert eyeroll laughter here). In the end it was all worth it.
I added splatter at the top so that the card was not too busy with images. Then I added three shades of the medium Decorative Matte Dots in the splatter area. These dots are in the June – December Mini Catalog and will only be available until the end of December 2021.
I used Dark Poppy Parade, Dark Granny Apple Green, Dark Pumpkin Pie, and Light Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blends to color in the Puffins. For the splatter I used Dark Granny Apple Green and Dark Pumpkin Pie. My Happy Birthday Sentiment is stamped with Tuxedo Black and Poppy Parade!
The Pattern Party DSP really pulls the entire card together! I added a layer the size of my Thick Basic White card base 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. I hope you enjoy this card! Be sure to check out the other entries, there are always amazing inspiration to be found in the GDP entries!
