I excited to play along with this week’s TGIF Sketch Challenge #333! The 3 strips strips set the prefect background for a color combo I had been wanting to do!

My card is fairly simple, I used a Blushing Bride card based that I added Whisper White splatter to. I did this by dropping a few dots of Whisper White re-inker on a clear block and then added a bit of water with my water painter. Then I cut 3 strips of Basic White in slightly different sizes and ran them through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine with the Tasteful Textures embossing folder. Then Added blushing bride and mossy meadow splatter.

From there I cut a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock and white heat embossed the sentiment from the Christmas to Remember Stamp Set. I only used the stamp for my card but this set is in a Bundle right now, which means you can get the stamp and coordinating die set at the bundle price of 10% OFF. A key thing to remember about Stampin’ Up is bundle and save! Then I roughed up the edges with the back of my paper snips.

For the Blushing Bride tree, I used the Christmas Tree Dies from the Whimsical Trees Bundle. After I die cut the tree in Basic White, I swipe the edge of my ink pad over it until the tree was covered. I just love the shading affect you get with this technique. Be sure to set it aside and let it dry a bit.

I popped up the Mossy Meadow layer and the die cut Christmas tree on dimensionals. Before attaching the Mossy Meadow layer I used my Stampin’ Seal to adhere some Linen Thread to the left side of the card. For the finishing touch on the card I added a Elegant Faceted Gem to the upper right side of the Mossy Meadow Layer.
How fun is this color combo! I really enjoyed using for this card.
