Simple Shaded Summer

My first card for the Just Add Ink Challenge 573! I wanted to participate last week but I blinked and the week was over! The sketch challenge that is posted for this week is simple and fun. I am so impressed with the cards that have already been posted! You really need to head over to the website and check it out, and they have launched new Instagram so go look them up and follow.

My card for the challenge is overall very simple! I did not even add splatter, trust me that was difficult. I used the Sale A Bration Penguin Playmate DSP that will go away after 9/30/2021! Get it while you can because after it is gone! I used the Shaded Summer Stamp set for my focal image. The best part about this set is that if you spend $100.00 in product you can get some seriously fantastic dies to pair with it! The Summer Shadow Dies really offer some fun options.

My colors for this card are Just Jade, Crumb Cake, Basic White, and Gold. Don’t you just love the little square frame round the focal flower! I did a cut a square 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ and then used the largest Stitched Rectangle to cut out the inside of the square. I used the Stitched Rectangle die cut on a card we did in my in-person class card over the weekend.

I heat embossed my sentiment with Gold embossing powder and added a few Brushed Metallic Dot embellishments to finish off the card!
