Words of Cheer Slimline

I would like to take a moment and welcome back the Words of Cheer bundle. I know it has been what 2 maybe 3 posts since you last saw it? As soon as I saw the colors for this weeks color challenge at Just Add Ink, I could NOT reach for anything else!

This is a color combo to drool over! Now I decided to do something slightly drastic. I Chopped up the word CHEER! This is supposed to be a Vertical all together one piece die cut sentiment. But the rebellious crafter in said me said, “where are my paper snips?” I have to say, I am really glad I did!

My card base is Soft Succulent. I Die cut the base layer of cheer in Polished Pink and then die cut the top layer of cheer in Gold Foil paper. I heat embossed the large focal image in Gold…OF COURSE. For this card I used the small solid floral image from the Words of Cheer stamp set to stamp the 3 flowers then I used my water painter to fill in all the little leaves with Soft Succulent. This was fun because it gave a bit of color variation! I love getting so many uses out of my products.

I covered the floral image with a piece of scrap to add a bit of Polished Pink splatter with my water painter. You can use your blends if you have them, my water painter was already out! I did try to add a few gems to the front but in the end decided NOPE I don’t need them.

Overall the card was kept simple and the colors are OMG delicious! Can’t wait to see what Just Add Ink brings us next week.

Below you will find the card cut list and products used list.
