Bumblebee and Shapes

This week’s Global Design Project sketch #314 this week was a lot of fun to interpret. So may fun shapes to play with!

When I started working on this card I only new I wanted to use a the star piece of the Sweet Stocking DSP. The rest was a mystery. The card came together bit by bit and I am pleased with the overall look!

I pulled out my trusty blending brush and added Bumblebee ink to the front of a Thick Basic White card base. Then I added a bit of Dark Evening Evergreen splatter with my Stampin’ Blend marker. I adhered a layer of Crumb Cake card stock to the card base.

Before I added my DSP layer popped up on Dimensionals, I wrapped linen thread around the card base twice. I made sure to give my self enough thread to end up with a bow on the right side of the card.

I used the Stars are Shining stamp set to stamp an ornament on a Crumb Cake stitched circle die cut. It took me a couple times to get it close to centered! When I adhered it to the card, I only put Dimensionals on the Right side because the DSP was already on Dimensionals. I added multipurpose glue to the left side of the die cut.

I finished the card by heat embossing the sentiment in white on evening ever green and putting it on a Crumb Cake layer. I added three of the oh so shiny Holiday Rhinestones and all done! Not bad for only knowing 1 specific element I wanted to start with if I don’t say so myself.
