Hello Tuesday! An exciting day for sure, it is Jan to June 2022 Mini Catalog Launch day! I was excited that @StampinThroughtheCatalog featured the Stamp Set Sweet Conversations for today. It encouraged me to pull the set out and make my first Valentine’s Day Card. I paired it with elements from the Sweet Talk Suite and the Artfully Composed Suite.
Last month I ended up having to take a break from my craft room to deal with some life issues. I did not end up making cards to go with my sketch or my color combo for December. I decided to use it as my inspiration for today’s card layout. That is the great thing about a sketch it can be interpreted in so many ways, really it is just there to INSPIRE.
When I saw the piece of heard DSP in the Sweet Talk 12 x 12 DSP pack, I knew I had to pair it with Basic Gray. So I used Basic Gray for the card base and sentiment strip, then to mimic the look of the DSP I used a lighter gray; Smoke Slate to stamp the heart. For finishing touches I added Basic Gray Classic Mat Dots and a Gray Granite Bakers twine Bow.
Are you wondering about the Vellum with the writing? It is part of the Artfully Composed Suite. It is called Layering Designs. I have not yet purchased the the entire Suite, but it is on my list!
How much do you love the distinctive looking heart stamp? There are 3 different shaped hearts in this set and each one has die to cut out the image. I am so looking forward to using these hearts with a few of the other sets I purchased out of the new catalog.
