For the first time, I decided to play along with the Colour INKspriation Challenge over on Facebook! The color combo is a perfect beach theme combo. So of course I decided to take it in a non beach them direction. I love a good beach inspired card, but right now I am in love with the Sweet Conversations stamp set!

For my entry I kept the card pretty simple. I used a blending brush to add a light layer of Granny Apple Green to the Basic White cardstock layer. I stamped out a mix of hearts is Costal Cabana, Balmy Blue, Pacific Point, and Sahara Sand. I did this using the 3 different size hearts. For the front of the card I did not end up using the Balmy Blue Hearts. I decided to do a even mix of the other 3 Colors.

I attached the hearts by sewing them to the Basic White layer. This was not nearly as difficult as I thought it would be. Sometimes you just have to stop thinking about doing something and DO IT! For my first time sewing on a card, it worked out great, I am excited to add this detail to cards going forward.

Then came a thin Granny Apple Green card stock layer under the focal layer. And I bet you are trying to figure out where the Balmy Blue is on this card! I struggled adding it in, and then I decided to ink up a piece of BB card stock with Balmy Blue ink to darken it up using my blending brush. It was just too light and I did not care for the way it looked in it’s original form. SO I added a rectangle strip under the top layers of the card and it worked out great!

I finished the card off with a strip of Sahara Sand with the sentiment Happy Valentine’s Day and a few sequence!
I really need to start using another bundle this week, but I adore the hearts in this years Valentine’s set! I have to say this one is my favorite from the last few years. Remember Bundle and Save, when you buy a bundle from Stampin’ Up! you save 10% on the stamp and die. Right now is Sale A-Bration that wonderful time of the year where you earn FREE products for buying the products you already love!
I hope you enjoyed this card! Let me know by leaving a comment, and if you are in the United States and don’t have a demonstrator I would love to fill the position!
