This card screams summer to me! With the black back ground it may not scream summer to you, but I had so much fun making it. This card was made for the Just Add Ink Summer Challenge this week! Challenge Number 586.
The mix of colors I used to create this vibrant card is Magenta Madness, Granny Apple Green, Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay, Basic Black and Basic White! I started by using a blending brush to add a mix of the inks on a piece of Basic White and then Stamped the Bus from the Driving By Sale A-Bration Stamp Set all over it. I made sure to stamp some of the busses off the edge so I would have different pieces of the bus to work with. Then I used my Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker to splatter the entire paper just a smidge. From there I fussy cut each of busses.
I used a Bermuda Bay card base with a Granny Apple layer under the BB layer. For fun I moved the layers all the way to the left! I love mixing up the angles of placement on a card (my husband does not care for that he likes the layers lined up in the middle).
I decided I love the colors on Basic Black paper but I needed palm trees to give me the Beachy Summer feel I had in my head. So I used the palm tree from the Timeless Tropical stamp set to white heat emboss two trees at the top. If you saw my last card, you may have now figured out I am in love with the Sweet Conversations Bundle! I die cut a few Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green hearts to add to the card front.
The sentiment is from the Flowers of Friendship Stamp set. The sentiment reads Life is better with friends like you, I white heat embossed it on Magenta Madness card stuck and then cut it up with my paper snips. When I placed the sentiment on the card I left out friends, it would work well on the card if you wanted to add it back in. I fished it with a few Classic Matt Dots in Basic white. They finished the look of the card perfectly!
