Minimalist in Purple

Well it took me ALL week to settle on a Minimalist Card Design, after a huge mess I finally did it! This is my contribution to the Just Add Ink Challenge # 589!

This card is very simple, I used a mix of all the purples. Black Berry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, and Fresh Freesia. To get this look I used my Blending Brushes from Stampin’ Up! and my Gina K Masking paper.

I cut some longer strips and used my grid mat from Making Memories that I keep on my desk to keep my creative space protected. I added a few pieces of masking paper in various places before I started to add ink. Once I had the colors in the shades I wanted, I stamped Happy from the Biggest Whishes stamp set. I used this stamp to keep the blocky feeling of the card, then I pulled a retired set out of my stash for the work Birthday. I thought the font was perfect for this style card (incase you are wondering the set is Family Party).

Overall I am really happy with the card, if I were to do it again, I may align it all the way to the left or right instead of the middle. I think that layout has a lot of potential. But for now one of this style card is good for me!

I hope you enjoyed this card! Let me know by leaving a comment, and if you are in the United States and don’t have a demonstrator I would love to fill the position!

  1. The vertical inking is fabulous Megan, such a great take on our minimalist theme. Thanks for sharing at Just Add Ink.
