Let’s take the Scenic Route

Today’s stamp set is from the Let’s Go Anywhere Collection by Echo Park. I originally bought this stamp set for the camera stamp. I thought it was the perfect size to stamp on the inside of album pages. Then I decided the sentiment spoke to me! I can often be found taking the long way around.

This card is a simple and time saving card that features a Distress Oxide blended background, which has quickly become one of my favorite techniques. I used a combination of Forest Moss, Ground Espresso, Gathered Twigs, Bundled Sage, Broken China, and Prize Ribbon to create this fun look. I stamped the mountain image directly on the back ground in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I added a layer of Distress Glaze to “seal” the distress inks. I wanted to splatter in white and silver shimmer watercolor, but did not want the water spots that you get when drops are added on Distress Oxide inks. I don’t know what kind of paper you like to do blending on, but I have found that I achieve the best results with Bristol Smooth Paper.

I stamped two cameras on white cardstock and colored them with Copic makers. After a quick fussy cut I glued them down on the front of the card. The sentiment is one stamp, I chopped up and lined it with Night of Navy cardstock. I popped up Let’s take the and Route on foam tape and glued Scenic flat on the card.

Below you will find a supply list of many of the products I used to create this card.

I hope you enjoyed this card. If you did Leave a comment and let me know! Until next time, Happy Crafting.
