You’re the coolest, texture paste

Today’s card is another fun wobbler card! The Gnome from It’s sherbet day by Trinity Stamps just makes me feel happy and I think it deserves to dance!

I had some fun making a big mess in my craft room with this one! I pulled out the Finnabair White Sand texture paste and cracked it open for the first time! I like the little bits of grit in the paste, I mixed it with distress oxide ink color Shabby Shutters to give the background color. After I applied it I decided it needed glitter and also the color orange. I used Distress Oxide ink spay to get the water color look. I should mention I used an 80 lb mixed media paper to create my background, holds up to the water and paste better.

Note: If I were to do this again I would create the ink spray watercolor look first, then let it dry fully then apply the texture paste. This will prevent the texture paste from softening again and getting messy. Make sure to have a paper towel handy for dabbing up excess color!

TIP: You don’t want to use a heat tool to dry the texture paste as it can cause bubbling. Take your time and let it air dry (trust me I know how hard waiting can be).

Here is the list of Copic Colors that I used on the Gnome, B29, B24, YG03, YG13, YG17, EOO, E11, E25, E35, E99, R39, R35, YR12, YR04, Y18.

I made a blue frame for the Gnome to sit in by using two sizes of rectangle dies. I placed the smaller one inside the larger rectangle and ran it through my Gemini. To adhere to the background I used red tape, glue would have made the texture paste soggy. Using the same blue as the frame I added thinned line layer behind the background. Then I added the wobbler to make the Gnome needs dance!

I hope you enjoyed this card. If you did Leave a comment and let me know! Until next time, Happy Crafting.
