A bit of shimmer for fall

Today I am sharing another fun fall card that Features Distress Oxide blended leaves, and pretty shimmery gold highlights!

The leaves are from the same SVG cut file that I shared a few days ago. You can find all the details HERE. To create these fun leaves, pull out colors you think will bend well together, I used to many colors to list here (see blow on the supply list). I prefer to blend on Bristol Smooth paper, but use what you have. After the file ran through the ScanNCut and all the leaves were cut out, I inked the edges with Carved Pumpkin just to give hem a bit of shadow.

My card base is inked with Carved Pumpkin Oxide ink and then I adhered a piece of vellum the full size of the card front 5 1/2″ by 4 1/4″. By doing that it has a light color that shows through and does not drown out the leaves. Then I arranged the leaves until I was happy with the layout. I used a tape runner, not glue to adhere the leaves on the vellum. The glue could make the vellum pucker. Of course I added lots of gold splatter and sequence to make this card shimmer.

The sentiment is printed from Microsoft Word and then die cut with a stitched rectangle die. I added a think layer of Gold Foil Sheet and a border of Cork paper from Stampin’ Up! to tie the fall look of the card together!

Note: Be sure to be careful how you adhere the vellum to the card base! I was not and you can see the tape runner through it, when I started the card I was not going to use vellum and had already but down the adhesive and then changed my mind!
