Happy Valentine’s Day to all! Today I share the card I created to go along with this month’s inspiraiton sketch.

For this card I created a shaker using the Heffy Doodle Firefly Sparkle Mix. There are so many fun colors in the mix to inspire. For this card I decided to go with a blend of Distress Oxide Inks. I cut out the heart window using my Brother Scan N Cut and then inked with Candied Apple and Festive Berries. When it was dry I a did a lifting technique using a wet paper towel and a Tim Holtz Stencil. This just lifted up some of the ink and gave a bit more interest to the frame. I also tapped white pigment ink over the top of the stencil. You can see a bit of the white, but I was impatient and did not let it dry properly. So most of it wiped off as I worked on adding the Acetate and Foam tape.
With the ink that was left over from blending on my glass mat I colored the inside heart shape. I sprayed the ink on the glass mat with a touch of water and then just put the heart shape in the wet ink and smooshed it around until I had the coloring I liked.

I finished the card with 2 mugs and the “you warm my heart” sentiment from the Heffy Doodle stamp set Perfect Blend. The mugs were “painted” using Distress Oxide inks, colors used were Dried Marigold, and Rusty Hinge. As for the browns for the coffees, I am not really sure. They are not sitting on my desk; so go wild! Try out fun combos and see what happens.

I hope you enjoyed this bit of inspiration, if you create using this sketch tag me on social media and use #ldscs. I will add your project to my stories on social media! If you did Leave a comment and let me know! Until next time, Happy Crafting.
