Pink Hugs

Today I share a card that is very not like me! Today’s card was created with shades of pink distress oxide inks! this card features the Heffy Doodle Warm Hugs die and Heffy Doodle Perfect blend Stamp set!

For the blending I masked off the bottom portion of the card with 1″ Mint tape and got to blending. In order from top to bottom I used Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, and Festive Berries. The I used Kitsch Flamingo to go over the the blending layer using a stencil from Tim Holtz Set #28 to give the blending a bit more depth. Along with a bit of water splatter and ink lifting. I splatter Picket Fence Spray stain and added more highlights using a white gel pen.

The top layer of warm hugs was cut with the Bristol Smooth paper and blending was done in the same order as above. Then I cut two more layers of cardstock to get the Warm Hugs die cut a bit of height and used the background layer die to cut out a piece of vellum. The cups were created using Strathmore Watercolor paper and layering distress oxide ink Kitsch Flamingo. I waited for each layer to dry so I could darken shadow areas, I fussy cut them but you can use your dies (mine were lost on my desk). Then I used the white gel pen to add a bit of interest.

I finished the card with the Heffy Doodle Tutti Frutti mix, do you think I put to much on? I picking out the pink pieces was so fun I had a hard time stopping.

I hope you enjoyed this bit of inspiration, if you create using this sketch tag me on social media and use #ldscs. I will add your project to my stories on social media! If you did Leave a comment and let me know! Until next time, Happy Crafting
