This post is a bit overdue, it goes along with an Instagram hop I am participating in for the next twelve weeks. I have been sick, sick since last week and barley got my postup! @thatcraftygolden is hosting this wonderful hop and has it so well organized, I have been super impressed.

This card was created using a Picket Fence Studio stamp, die and stencil combo. I have attempted using the stencil for this set before but did not get a look I liked. When I used it the first time I used my Stampin’ Up! ink and did not care for how it turned out. This time I used Distress Ink (not oxide) and I really like the effect I got. And I dare to say I would try a floral stencil again in the future!
TIP: To brighten up your distress inks and oxides add a layer of Distress Glaze, be sure to let it dry.
I have a few colors of brushos in my craft stash and used it to create the background for the florals. I created the look on watercolor paper and then layered in on a piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock from SU!.

I was recently cleaning my craft room out and found a die that creates a pop on the inside of the card and determined it would be perfect to put a cake on.
I hope you enjoyed this card. If you did Leave a comment and let me know! Until next time, Happy Crafting.
Be sure to checkout the hop over on Instagram every sunday for the next 12 weeks!
