This weeks challenge proved to be a challenge for me! I don’t do single layer very often or very well for that matter! But I got an idea stuck in my head and I went for it. It took about 8 tries before I had one fisined product that I liked. The others were good experiments with paper and ink. Head over to Instagram and check out everyone’s projects.
For this card I used a mix of Distress Oxide inks and Distress Spray Stains, colors are linked below. I heat embossed the images using the Visible image stamp set Butterfly Effect. I am looking forward to getting inky with this stamp set in the future.
On watercolor paper I stamped the focal butterfly using versamark, then covered it with masking paper and stamped the remainder of the images around it it. I also used a small mask cut out the same shape as the sentiment so that the circles were not fully heat embossed, this gave my sentiment a place on the front of the card.
A bunch of splatter in ALL the colors including Black Soot and Gloss spray finished off this card!
