This week’s Spring Sharing theme is April Showers just add water. So many ways to interpret this! I decided to go with using water on my card to lift ink and watercolor splatter.

I used the Visible Image Shining bright stamp set for this card. I stamped out the larger light bulb on to a piece of smooth bristol card stock and then stamped it again on a piece of Gina K masking paper. I really wanted the light bulb on this card to be white and not end up with splatter or distress inks on it. So before removing the masking paper I added Starry Colors watercolor splatters. Then I used a heat gun dry the ink and splatter.

I used distress inks Mustard Seed, Stormy Sky and Black Soot to get the outside edge color. For the sentiment I masked off a portion of the sentiment stamp and lightly blended Mustard Seed on the bristol paper and then chopped it up. I added a bit of black soot on the edges of each word rectangle.

I hope you enjoyed this bit of inspiration, if you create using this sketch tag me on social media and use #ldscs. I will add your project to my stories on social media! If you did Leave a comment and let me know! Until next time, Happy Crafting.
