Ink Block Blossoms

My card today is for the Sharing Spring Cards challenge I have been participating in. It is a weekly challenge for 12 weeks! This week is Ink Block Blossoms. Head over to instagram and hop along with us.

I made a few cards but ended up sticking with this idea. I diecut 6 circles on Bristol Smooth paper. Followed by white heat embossing the small floral image from the Altenew Fresh Bloom set on each circle.

I decided to go with a rainbow colored theme and used two shades in the same color range on each circle. with Distress Oxide ink, with the exception of the yellow circle. I only have Mustard Seed in distress ink. To get the varying shad I just dabbed half the circle with wet towel to life up some of the ink. It worked like a charm and probably could have done that with all the circles now that I think about it.

I then used distress micro glaze on each of the circle to bright them up and bit. The sentiment is from the Casual Taglines by Julie Ebersole an Essentials by Ellen clear stamp. I add foam tape behind the crle to give them lift and layered them on a piece of black cardstock die cut with a stitched rectangle die from Pink and Main.
