Simple layers Merman

Hey all! Megan with the design team sharing a simple layered card featuring Finned Friends stamp set, Shark Bait 6 x 6 paper and the Bubbles stencil.

I started with a white A2 card base. I adhered a strip of the dark blue Shark Bait paper down the center of the card with liquid adhesive. I used a stitched rectangle from my stash to die cut the mermaid scales paper, then adhered that on top of the dark blue paper.

I die cut a white rectangle and used Distress Oxide inks and the bubbles stencil to create the background for the merman to sit on. I added a mat of the dark blue to the white bubble paper and popped it up using low profile foam tape. The dark blue mat really helps the layer stand out on the scale background.

The merman is colored with Copic markers, I used various greens to give the card more color interest. I did add a smidge of distress ink around the outside edge of the two sentiments.

To finish off the card I added a few green sequences to tie in the color of the merman.
