Hey friends Megan with the design team here sharing a Valentine’s Day themed card. This card features one of the sweet images from the Positive Tate Love Notes 4 x 6 stamp set.

Do you love pink and black color combo? I know I do, but guess what, I almost did not add black layers to this card. Honestly when I was daydreaming this card black had not even entered the thought process. But I am so glad I decided to add the black layers. It made the card for me.
Recently I have started with creating my base layers before I even color my image. It has been a good change up in my card making process. I started by cutting out the pink colored card stock with a crimped rectangle die.
From there I cut the dark pink layer and a sparkle strip of the Watercolor Birthday 6×6 Pattern Paper Pack. And then the black mats for layering.
Using a die from my stash I cut the heart border piece that Tate sits on from a piece of the Watercolor Birthday 6 x 6 pattern paper. Sadly, the photo doesn’t show the details of the paper. Let me just tell you the colors are so soft and pretty.
I then made two tiny envelopes and added hearts as the closure. And yes, I added stardust stickles to the hearts. A Valentine’s Day card must have glitters!

I used Copic Markers to color in Tate and used my Scan N Cut to cut him out. The envelopes have a bit of heft to them, so I added foam tape to the spaces behind Tate that do not touch the envelope so that everything was even. I also added foam tape to the right side of the focal die cut. There are 4 layers of cardstock under it, so the right side needed to be evened out.
To finish the card, I added the sentiment to a black mat piece to and black enamel dots to pull the black from the back of the card to the front. Those kinds of touches make a card visually appealing to me.

I hope this card makes you say AWW. Positive Tate is just so sweet. Be sure to check out the latest release from Crafty Stamp Co, there are so many fun sets to work with.
