Pansy Petals for a Simple Sketch

Here is my first entry for the Fusion Card Challenge! For this entry I decided to stick to the sketch side of the challenge, mostly. For the next challenge I think I will try the photo side of the challenge. I kept this card very simple, which is always a huge challenge in it self for me!

The first thing you will notice about this card is the Calypso Coral card base, it is hard to miss. I used the Pansy Petals DSP for 2 of my 3 strips. The large strip measures 3/4″ x 5 1/2″, the next strip measures 1/2″ x 5 1/2″. The last strip is the smallest at 1/4″ x 5 1/2″, I used Evening Evergreen for this strip.

I decided I wanted to add just a little extra to this card with out over doing it to keep in line with the sketch. I pulled out my scoreboard and let me tell you, it has been AWILE since I pulled it out. I can usually get by with my Stampin’ Up! Paper trimmer. I add raised border on the Calypso Coral card base above and below the sentiment stirp. I also added score lines to each of the strips, a bit difficult to see in the photo.

I used the Sale-A-bration stamp set Delicate Dahlia to heat emboss the thank you Kindly sentiment on a piece of Very Vanilla Card stock. I added a bit of Baker’s Twine that I had colored Evening Evergreen to jazz up the sentiment strip. But honestly I am not really sure I even needed it.
