I have been running behind all month. I have been trying to get caught up, but it is not going as well as I would like! Daily life is unpredictable and we do the best that we can. So that being said here is my Color Combo card example for the month. Yes it should have been shared on Monday, but it did not get made until yesterday while I was participating in the My Pink Stamper November Stamp Spectacular event.
The event was a ton of fun and just what I needed! This card was made to fit a challenge/prompt that was to use the Frosted Gingerbread Bundle. We received this bundle as part of our registration fee for the event. I really want to add this type of event to a life goal, I would love to be able to host this type of an event.
I used Basic Gray for the card base and layer on the top for my White heat embossed sentiment. This sentiment is just so sweet and I love that is a longer sentiment instead of taller. I used the Adorning Designs Decorative mask to create the “DSP” layer. First I used the stripes and added Fresh Freesia with a Blending Brush. Then I used the snowflakes to add another layer of Fresh Freesia.
How pretty did that turn out! I added a touch of the Glitter Organdy ribbon. I did something here that I have not done before. I decided to add it after he fact, so I just tucked in to smaller strips of ribbon one on each side! I really did want to bending up the sentiment layer pulling off to add the ribbon. I used glue dots to adhere the strips in place. I also added 3 of the white Elegant Faceted Gems to the card, one is right in the center of the snowflake!
For the Mint Macaron element, I added a think line layer of behind the “DSP” layer and of course the cutest part of the card the Snowflake with the think White Icing Layer!!! I can’t wait to dive into all those little peppermint pieces in the set.
